Software Engineer - Full Stack

This job is a  hybrid role  from this location.

• Perceptyx is currently seeking a Full-Stack Software Engineer to join our Activate team.

In this role, you’ll contribute to building scalable, reliable, and maintainable systems that help organizations take meaningful action on employee feedback .

You’ll work primarily on backend systems while having opportunities to collaborate across the stack.

Some of our solutions incorporate LLM-powered capabilities, and we also focus heavily on intelligent nudges to drive behavior change.

You’ll collaborate closely with Product, Design, and Data Science teams to deliver thoughtful, high-impact features.

About the Activate Team : The Activate team is dedicated to bridging the gap between insights and action through AI-assisted action planning and intelligent nudges.

Things You Will Do :   Full-Stack Development : Develop and maintain applications using PostgreSQL, Python, Go, TypeScript, and React (70-80% BE Engineering work).

Product Collaboration : Work closely with product managers, designers, data scientists, and other engineers to turn ideas into high-impact features .

Code Quality : Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.

Scalability & Performance : Optimize backend and frontend systems for performance, scalability, and security.

Qualifications :

• Please note : Applicants must be authorized to work in Uruguay without needing an employment VISA or other sponsorship help.
• Experience : 0 to 3 years of professional experience, full stack software engineering is a big plus , and we also welcome Backend Engineers who are okay with performing occasional frontend work.  Technical Skills :   Proficiency or strong familiarity with Python and PostgreSQL.

Exposure to TypeScript and React is a plus.

Experience with Go is also a nice-to-have.

Team Skills : Strong communication and collaboration skills; comfortable working in a remote, cross-functional, agile team.

Code Quality : Ability to write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.

Growth Orientation : Interest in learning modern development practices, including DevOps (e.g., CI / CD, containerization), and emerging technologies like LLMs and GenAI.

Problem-Solving & Ownership : A proactive and solutions-oriented approach and mindset .

Communication & Organization : Solid  collaboration and organizational skills to work effectively with teams.

Environment Experience : Comfortable working in an agile, iterative development environment .
